Zepontronics recognizes the impact of GreenHouse Gas issues on the environment. In the future, we will take this opportunity to investigate the GreenHouse Gas emissions in the factory and provide the quantification, supervision, reporting and verification of GreenHouse Gas inventory by complying for the ISO 14064 standard.
▋Policy Statement
Zepontronics hereby commits to control of energy use in the factory and the inventory of GreenHouse Gas emissions to show the emphasis on the impact of GreenHouse Gas emissions on the environment and climate caused by global warming. In order to pursue the company's goal of sustainable operation, the company will fulfill its corporate responsibilities to the society and meet the requirements of customers and government environmental laws and regulations, implement this policy, and educate staffs to understand and take effective support actions.
▋Purpose
1.Effectively improve the company’s use of energy, and gradually improve the energy-saving targets of the company's electricity, water and facility waste.
2.Strengthen the publicity of energy conservation and carbon reduction education, reach a reduction, and promote the company's sustainable operation by all staffs.
3.Through the company's promotion of energy saving and carbon reduction, demonstrate and guide all staffs and family members to implement energy saving, carbon reduction and GreenHouse Gas reduction, water use, and other waste.
1.Effectively control the company’s use of electricity and water, review and reduce the amount year by year based on the principle of zero growth.
2.Strengthen the improvement or recycle the company's energy-saving hardware. Enhance the concept of energy-saving and sustainable development among staffs.
3.Combining company and social resources to become a sustainable company that implements environmental protection, energy saving and carbon reduction.
Business Continuity Planning
The general manager convened a contingency team to hold an emergency meeting to discuss countermeasures to ensure the company's continuous operation.
▋Staff shortage
To deal with the sudden shortage of human resources, the human resource department has planned a long-term and short-term manpower plans (such as three shifts) and a qualified human resource pool for outsourcing manufacturers, avoiding to to affect production and delivery.
▋Production equipment failure
When the production equipment breaks down, first contact the engineering department personnel for maintenance. If support from the manufacturer is needed, contact the manufacturer immediately and arrange for emergency maintenance at the factory. For equipment parts and spare parts in the maintenance station, immediately contact the purchasing department for relevant emergency procurement operations.
▋Unexpected incidents in cooperative factories
When the production equipment breaks down, first contact the engineering department personnel for maintenance. If support from the manufacturer is needed, contact the manufacturer immediately and arrange for emergency maintenance at the factory. For equipment parts and spare parts in the maintenance station, immediately contact the purchasing department for relevant emergency procurement operations.
▋Abnormalities in public facilities (such as water and power outages)
(1) Water outage: The administrative unit contacts water truck companies to procure or dispatch water from alternative sources in emergency situations.
(2) Power outage: The Taiwan Power Company issues warnings and initiates the deployment of power outage measures, ensuring the operation of essential non-electricity-dependent tasks and activating backup power sources.
When the system, service, or network is identified as showing potential violations of cybersecurity policies or failure of protective measures, it affects the functionality of the system and poses a threat to cybersecurity policies. To ensure that important business processes are not affected by significant failures and disasters, the discovery of major information security incidents should be reported to the company's Chief Information Officer. An assessment of equipment, manpower, and other factors should be conducted to determine the necessary response measures, and the details of the incident should be recorded for future reference.
▋Disaster Emergency Response Management Procedure (QP-025-01)
In accordance with this procedure, when a natural disaster occurs, the occupational safety unit plans to immediately activate the "Emergency Response Task Assignment Table" and initiate the factory's disaster emergency response mechanism according to the "Emergency Response Process Flowchart." The occupational safety unit then completes the "Emergency Response Handling Form."
▋Simulation Drills for Emergency Response Situations
Every year, the general manager conducts emergency response and business continuity drills based on the risks of unforeseen events. The results of these drills are recorded in the "Emergency Response Plan Exercise Results Report" and reviewed during management review meetings.
